Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: February 2026

Our Commitment
AJW is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people with sight, hearing, mobility, or cognitive impairments. We are continually improving the user experience for all visitors and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our website.

Compliance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility. AJW aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the current industry standard in the UK.

Accessibility Features
To help you navigate our site effectively, we have implemented the following:

  • Keyboard Navigation: Most of this website can be navigated using only a keyboard.

  • Text Alternatives: We provide "Alt Text" for all functional images (like our fleet and team photos) so screen readers can describe them.

  • Responsive Design: You can zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen.

  • Clear Language: We use plain English to describe our services in County Durham, Yorkshire, and the North East, avoiding unnecessary jargon.

Known Limitations
While we strive for perfection, some areas of the site may have limitations:

  • PDFs: Some older site plan or brochure PDFs may not be fully accessible to screen reader software. We are working to replace these with accessible HTML pages.

  • Maps: Our interactive service area maps may be difficult to use with keyboard-only navigation. We provide a full text-based list of our service regions to compensate for this.

Feedback and Contact Information
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the AJW website. If you encounter any barriers or need information in an alternative format (such as Large Print or Plain Text), please contact us:

  • Phone: 07591747071

  • Email: andy@ajwlandscaping.co.uk

  • Response Time: We aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within 2 working days.

Enforcement Procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’) in the UK. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
